Subcontractors wanted for Anfield stadium
On Thursday Carillion will be hosting a Meet The Buyer event for local suppliers and subcontractors in Liverpool who are interested in working on two major schemes in Merseyside.
Carilion will be carrying out the construction of the £335m Royal Liverpool University Hospital and the £75m Main Stand expansion at Anfield.
The Meet the Buyers event will be held at the Champions Lounge at Liverpool Football Club on February 26th where attendees will be able to speak with members of Carillion’s project team and supply chain team to talk through opportunities for the construction projects in the city.
The stand expansion at Anfield will provide an additional 8,500 seats which will boost the stadium’s capacity to 54,000 whilst the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital will be the largest hospital in the UK to provide all single en-suite bedrooms on each patient ward.
Nigel Worboys, head of supply chain for Carillion said: “The Anfield Main Stand expansion and Royal Hospital will be two of the biggest construction projects in the city and offer huge opportunities for local people, suppliers and subcontractors.
“They will generate genuine opportunities for the Liverpool regional economy and give local people and business the opportunity to get involved with such exciting projects.”
Carillion are looking to speak to construction contractor and construction supplies firms in and around Liverpool, if you’d like to attend email your company name, address and postcode to rachael.phillips@carillionplc.com, putting Meet the Buyer in the subject field along with the relevant trade or proposition.
