Severfield to supply the steel work to expand Liverpool FC Main Stand
The main contractor on the Anfield project is Carillion, which will see the Main Stand area of the stadium increased by an extra 8,500 new seats, increasing the overall stadium capacity to 54,000.
In addition to the Anfield job which is due to be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2016, Severfield has also picked up five other contracts including three projects in London, one in the midlands a waste energy plant in Dublin.
Ian Lawson, CEO of Severfield, said: “We are delighted to announce these multiple contract wins.
“It continues the momentum we’ve established in recent months, and all of these new contracts are in sectors where we have a strong market share or are seeing positive future trends.
“We are thrilled to be working for Carillion on such a high profile project as Anfield, especially as stadia is a sector where we have a demonstrable track record.”
It's great to have more examples that the construction industry is continuing too grow, something we're also seeing this month through the high growth we're having in the number of construction products which is great news as December is generally a quieter month.
